Hey Guys, My name is Joep, I'm from the Netherlands, and i bought a BG1209S last January from Curt.
Because i was moving out, i did only a few checks to see if the unit was powering up, after that i stored the unit until this month.
I now have a bigger house, and a high enough ceiling to mount the unit to ceiling. Smile
But of course, this kind of operations never go exactly the way you plan it, and i ran into a problem... Sad

When i power up the unit, with or without any video source connected to the unit, i get the following strange problem.
When i, let's say, pop-up the on screen display, i notice that the projected image is not very stable. That is, its dancing or moving a little upside down. It does this a few times per seconds. At the corners this is even more noticeable.
It doens't make any different at what resolution i use, its alway there. And, it's on all three the colors.
I tried to capture the problem with my digital photo camera, but the frame rate of the camera is to slow to capture the problem.

I already mailed curt, but maybe there are other Barco experts here on the forum willing to give me a little support, i certainly would appreciate it. Very Happy

I'm not sure if i hear anything unusable. The machine is new for me, and the only reference i have is my old BG808.
I found this threat here on the forum, that looks almost the same as my problem.

I'd pull the EHT, change all the caps on it and check it over really well for bad solder joints, if that doesn't fix it, buy one from Curt. Do you have the later model EHT or the older style?

Is this only on the internal menu or on a source image as well?

Its on sources and on the internal generated patterns.
Basically. See the url in my previous post. I bet it is the EHT board, the quadrupler or the splitter.
I spoke to curt, and he confirms this. I think i send him the parts so he can test them.

O by the way.
I have the new style EHT board. My guess would also be a bad capacitor(s) in combination with the high voltage.
Maybe i try to swap the board at someone here in my neighborhood to see if it really is the board.
Thanks for thinking along.
Joep
