I just started watching this series, and I have to say it was quite good. It is a "space-western" TV show that was only on for one season, and was continued in the movie "Serenity". $60 for 13 episodes may seem a lot but after watching about 5 episides, I'd say it is worth it. Many have said this is one of the best sci-fi shows of all time.

I still think it is one of the best series ever made. It had a "real" feel to it. And the theme song kicks ass.

Awesome, I've been waiting for an announcement on this for several months. My mate had the 1080i .ts versions but I wanted to hold off for BD... looking forward to watching it finally!

And just so there is NO confusion, DO NOT WATCH SERENITY before you start watching the series. And if you have already watched it, forget that you have and watch it again after you watch the series from start to finish.
Just a bit of friendly advice in the spirit of continuity
