That would be really cool but... weren't we supposed to have hover cars by the year 2000? Mine hasn't come yet

Yeah, there weren't going to be traffic jams anymore because we'd all be flying home for work... and landing in our driveways!
Seriously, though... I think 3D, stereo, and holographic displays have amazing and useful applications. Entertainment... I'm not sure I see it. I don't typically say "never" and won't here, either. But, I just don't see the technology catching on. I don't see people watching Scrubs or LOST on a holographic display. Even in the home desktop PC gaming market where 3D has an incredible impact, it's been more than the tiniest niche. That's where 3D (even holography) will remain, IMHO - in niches.

lol yeah! i thought it was that new REALLY real feeling virtual reality porn! but yeah.. i think the porn industry should hop on that bandwagon! i'll be one of the first people in line.
