|
|
Hi,
I currently bought a Sony VPH 1272.
It is connected to my PS3 through the HDFury1.
I first applied the settings for the Playstation 3 menu and Blu Ray discs,
as they are broadcasting the same frequency.
Now if I use a normal DVD or Demo game or attach my Settop box, the Sony
receives totally different frequency's (between 30 and 60 Khz) and the image is placed to the left
bottom instead of in the middle.
Is this a thing which HDFury 2 solves or is the playstation inconsistent
with 1080i signals?
A scaler should do the job but is much more expensive.
Thanx

My advice is to pay attention to which regi block (page 4 of the pj's menu) is being used when the unwanted shift occurs. For example, if your using regi block 6 for the PS3 menus and everything is where you want it and you switch to a game and you have unwanted shift, see what regi block is being used.
PS3 does change resolution depending on what it's displaying. If the projector has shifted to a different regi block then you can customise the size and shift etc for the new signal. If fit falls into the same regi block you have a problem. One way around two signals that fall into the same regi block is to split the signal and send it to input A and input B. Then customise one input for gaming and the other for bluray. The downside is you need a splitter to do that or you can just swap the cable.

I know that,. The PS3 sends everthing over a different frequency. So I can make separate memory blocks.
The problem is that for Blu Ray my Sony has moved a little to the right and shifted to the very right of the lens.
Now if I play a DVD the image is moved even more to the left.
So I think a scaler would solve this, because I then send every signal to the Sony over the same frequency?
HDFury2 wouldn't solve the whole problem I think.

You can make separate memory blocks if they sit in different regi blocks. If your dvd and bluray sit in the same regi block you can only set up size and shift for one of the signals. This is a weakness in the architecture of the 12 series. Are you sure you're using different regi blocks for each source?

I've solved this one with a crystalio scaler.
