I guess that C47 is no longer present in any 9500lc design ...right (cant find the bastard and I do have a 1100 chip on there)?

Re: Remove Capacitor on VNBs with HFA1100

Symptom: Marquee 8000 or Marquee 9000 projectors may display uncharacteristically “noisy” images. As well, the image may blank out if the brightness is adjusted to 0.

Cause: U2 on the Video Neck Board (VNB) was changed from a CLC409 to an HFA1100. The CLC409 required the presence of C47 a 4.7pF capacitor. The HFA1100 does not require the 4.7pF capacitor and may cause the above
symptoms if it is on the VNB.

Action: If it is felt that the above symptoms are significant, then examine each of the three VNBs within the projector and observe whether or not U2 is a CLC409 or an HFA1100. If U2 is an HFA1100, then remove C47 if it is present on the board. Consult the service manual for your particular model of projector to assist you with any of the projector dissassembly required in order to be able to observe the VNB components. The U2 and C47 component designations apply to all the Marquee models (8000, 9000 with Thomson CRTs and 9000 with Panasonic CRTs).

Arno some of the new VNB's had the HFA1100 aswell you need to look at the VNB's part number, you have a new VNB that doesnt need that cap removed, dont go by parts on the VNB's or any other Board on the marquee go buy actual part numbers on the boards...and even then its not 100% sure, you may have a board thet all the bullitens repairs were allready done.
