IIRC They are squashed on that too, I'll take a picture after class tonight.

I wonder if there is a way to pull those side circles in a bit, I tried horiz amplitude but that affects the center circle as well, and I lose screen size.
|
These side-'circles' are not supposed to be exactly round, they are meant to be an 'egg' on this test pattern.
I am not exactly sure if thats what you are trying to achieve (making them perfect circular), just thought I would let you know in case

Their shape changes with resolution. Using 1920*1080 (16:9) they are eggish (just checked again).
Maybe your Dell is 16:10 (1920*1200) - therefore the circles are rounder?
Daniel.

You might try this little test pattern program I wrote, I know it creates perfect circles on all 4 corners.

I had played with the alignment v lin and lin balance for a while last night, and was unable to get it to look better, I can try again later today. |
I would definitely think that (GREEN or GEOMETRY) lin-balance is the key but it helps to understand more how it works. For example, as you adjust the Horiz for this, you will see the center expand as the pattern at the sides compress (or vice versa as you adjust the opposite way). Similarly for Vertical, you will see the center expand up/down and the top/bottom compress. For your case I would compress the sides with the H adjust and expand top/bottom with the V adjust. As you make the adjustment, realize that this is a balancing process. Your goal is to make the outer circles match the center circle, even if that makes the center tall or wide. Once you get them the same, then go back and use V/H SIZE to make the center round again which in turn will make them ALL round.
