Anyway my point is, I wouldn't let a magnolia guy touch my CRT with a 10-foot pole, let alone an average BB smurf.

I just can’t get beyond the thought of it being like taking your car to Autozone for a diag.

I don't think they have any intentions of offering CRT FP calibrations.

But for the limited number of products that they offer, I'd assume that they'd have model-specific training and a series of cheat sheets that steps them through the service menus only for the display devices that they sell.

If that's the case, then I think even the BB/Mag calibration would be better than none. I think it's a good idea on their part.

The BB near me, which ain't far from Lake Lanier, thinks the top of the line projector worthy of showing off in the Mag-BB is an Infocus 480P digital unit. I wonder how they'll be justifying that $2500 projector with the $500 HD-DVD player (or $1,000 Blu-ray player) along side the $1,200 screen, $$1,500 Polks, $1,000 Sony AVR, and, of course, the much needed, lol, $500 BB calibration.

Oh yeah, the system will rock ... their credit cards. You can put pearls on a homeless person, but its still the end result of a homeless person wearing pearls.
