No I didn't buy a Marquee. At least not yet, not as long as the 4600HD lives
I am programming a Crestron controlled theater that has a Marquee. I'm using 5.7" touch panels for control. To allow for comfortable sized buttons on the panel, I'll have to do 2-3 pages. I would like all source/channel selection buttons on page 1. All setup/touch-up controls on page 2. anything else on page 3 if needed. I also have a couple of questions.
1. Does a Marquee detect and automatically switch to a saved memory location like a NEC or does it need to be manually switched?
2. If it needs to be manually switched, what is the button press sequence required to select a pre configured channel?
The idea here is to have all these operations happen in the background using logic to automate the whole thing. Master power on/off buttons turn on/off everything with one button press. Press the Blu-Ray button and the sound system, video switcher and projector go to pre-configured set-up's. 99% of the time, the end user will never have to access the individual component control pages. For day to day use, only basic navigation controls for cable and DVD control will be provided. Of course, full controls will be available on the individual component page. Thanks,

1. It can do both depending on if you have ASR active, or ASI active, or both. If none are enabled, you will have to manually choose memories.
2. Most would have memories saved in Recall memories. So you need to press 'recall' and then the memory location eg. '01'
If you are connecting to different input boards, you'll also need to press 'input' and the input location eg. '01' before hand.
You can also choose to enable channels, so you can just press the number for the channel or up/down i think.
I find it easiest just to setup each memory and have ASR active to automatically choose, but leave ASI off as this tends to make mistakes with interpolating the settings.

Thanks Gino, For the most part I think he'll be using his internal HDMI input card, although I'm sure he still has some use for his RGBHV input. I haven't got that far yet.

Baby-balls This is part of a whole house automation project including irrigation without a outside controller. Crestron will provide all logic and switching for that. That is especially handy for when the bible bangers come knocking at your front door and refuse to leave until someone answers You can turn it on from the comfort and safety of your favorite recliner

Oh, one quick heads up. Those touch panels need to be in the docking station to charge. If you plug the PS into the power port on the side, it's simply running on external power. There is no charging function in that configuration.

Well, I've got a week to play. I've pretty much done nothing but landscaping and working too much in the past few months... I've got to change two more bellows and a C element and put it all back together again.

Don't need any parts... Just gotta get off mine arse and get moving. Between work, yardwork, all together too much charity work, and now emergency appendectomy I've been ignoring the 9501LC.

Nope. Bought the C element and three bellows from VDC in April IIRC.

Don't use the auto detect unless you like an average of 2 parts of your work. Set up a recall and channel for each input. and turn off ASR and ASI.
2. If it needs to be manually switched, what is the button press sequence required to select a pre configured channel?
Set up channels in th projector associated with recalls. Then when DVD is pressed you send "1" "0" to the projector (channel 10 e,g,) which is associated with the recall that has your set up for DVD. This is simpler than sending "recall" "1" "0".
Mine is so simple the wife can use it.
