The unthinkable has happened.. USPS has LOST a shipment of 3 909 neck boards. Luckily I happen to have two new in the box ones, but I'm short 1.
By any chance does anyone have one?
Good luck, yeah I know..

I may be able to do something if the PJ is still about. There is a 909 nearby with bad spot (more like stripe) burn down the middle of all three tubes. It's an ex simulator projector that either set fire to itself, or was burned. Looks to have had a couple of dry powder extiguishers unloaded into it. All the cards are just about toast, not sure about neck boards though.
They where going to throw it in a skip. It may still be there. I'll see if there is enough left to slavage anything if you like (an if you think it is worth it).

I would pay you some decent coin for the boards out of that set, damaged or not. But PLEASE... see if the set is still there.
FUnny thing is, I KNOW that USPS will find this damn box, probably about 2 days after I score a new board.

Ok I'll phone tomorrow and get them to keep it if still there.
I'll try to go get everything that isn't melted tomorrow as well.
I'm going to have to wash off the boards, because it's in a real mess. Also I guess the cover is PVC, so it's going to be best to remove the acid that forms from burning PVC ASAP. I have plenty of tap water, some distilled water, and a little bit (1/2 gal) of industrial grade ethonol.
I was thinking to wash in tap water and detergent, then rinse in distilled water, then blow dry with compressed air. I could use alcohol if you think that is better.
I'll check back here before I go to work tomorrow, if you have any suggestions, I'll get them by then.

No worries, I can do that here as well. You can also run them through the dishwasher. I've done that a few times without detergent, and that works wonders getting crap off boards.

Damn! Next time you see a scrap 909, no matter what the condition, grab it, and ask questions later..
I think I've found a neck board, so I think I'm good..

Yes, sorry about that. I have no idea what I was thinking.
Actualy I do, it may have something to with my MMS (picture message) to a friend about my new 808s, the reply was "that is clearly huge, you have lost plot". The 909 is just an FB version of the same thing...
Right I'm off to beat myself over the head with a crispy 07MS blue tube...
