So I was doing a tune up on my Marquee 8500 for football season.I did a complete re-setup and now when I change sources I lose my convergence on all but the original source. I know it is probably something simple and I am prepared to feel silly when I get the answer. BTW this is only the third time I have done the setup from scratch and it gets a lot easier and the picture is simply spectacular.

I was hoping it was going to be that easy. Unfortunately it did the same thing

You should have a memory for each source. You then can create a channel in the projector, associated with the source, that calls the memory that is set up for that source.
Hope that is clear.

Ok I only have 1 recall memory and the ASR has a check by it .One other thing I never knew was what does the Horiz and Vert numbers mean? Mine says 67.43 (horizontal) and Vertical is set to 59.94.

When you set up the first source, you save the input to a recall (Rx). You then do a setup of your second source using the existing S information. When complete, save the input to another recall (Ry). Now you can create your channels. Select channel 1 and associate it with recall Rx or what ever number recall you saved for source 1. Then select channel 2 and associate it with what ever recall you saved for source 2. Now when you change your projector to channel 1 it calls the correct picture parameters. Likewise for channel 2.
You can have many recall memories not just for sources. You can have them for different resolutions, screen dimensions, and even custom colors.
Have fun
Walt
P.S. I always turn ASR off.

I'm sorry, I should have said to make sure you are feeding a signal to whatever input you are configuring and from each source you are setting up on that input. The numbers for H and V are what what is being fed from the source.

Thanks a lot.
I do have one more question do I have to lock the settings as I go or do they all have to remain unlocked to be read properly as the source changes?

I got it now. Thanks for your help. But I don't recall seeing many threads about this sort of problem or any simplified description of the actual process to add and delete sources or what all the numbers mean it might help someone down the road.

I dont use chanels i just use new recall for the same input, so I use my moome card Input 2 and Blu ray 1080p@48 is recall 01, Blu Ray 800p@72hz is Recall 02, SD DVD is 720p@72 Recall 03 Sattelite 1080i@72 for film is recall 04 and Sattelite 1080i@60 for video is Recall 05
Aslo you'll need to shut off ASR, it deosnt really work well because if it cant lock onto the signal correctly it will average the two resolutions above and below it, at least thats how I think it does it.

Yup. You're spot on. You end up with what the 'Quee software 'thinks' is the best. If the pj were being used for what it was designed for I'd say it was good enough but we ask more of them.
I would add that when you copy to a memory location go to the Channel list first and create a name for it and save it or else copying from one location to another (to tweek it for a different resolution) won't save...even if it's unlocked. And the 'Quee won't tell you that either. It'll let you think you've dun a good thing. It'll look great after tweeking...until you either power off the pj and try to go back to it, or change to another mem location and back.

I'd love to see a clear, concise, step-by-step description too. I mostly only use one source so I haven't messed with the memories much. But now my PS3 can output several different resolutions, so I need to make sure I understand how it's working and how I should use it.
If I understand right, ASR is the "automatically choose a memory to match this signal" feature of the Marquee, but because of problems you shouldn't use it. So you set up memories for each resolution and manually switch channels. Yes?

Yes, or you can use the "RECALL" button and enter the number of the memory you want to use.

ASR is fine, it's just Recalling the correct memory with matching scan rate.
It's ASI you don't want, its Interpolating the memories when it can't find an exact scan rate.
