Hello,

I need to switch the communications port on my NEC XG852 from RS-232 to RS-422 (to interface with an Extron LDxi). I found the following instructions (poor English and all) in an NEC manual:

"When you change serial communications system RS-232 and RS-422, the projector requires to change setting of switch (S8121) on SYSTEM PWB."

I took the cover off the projector, but can't find switch S8121. I'm not even sure which circuit board they refer to. Can anyone give me a pointer to where to look? And am I looking for a DIP switch, a jumper, or something else?

Thanks,
Tom

The SYSTEM PWB is at the back of the cardcage with the small cables going to the rear LEDs for standby, etc. The switch will have the number near it. I believe it is in the center of the board.
