I don't really trust Marquees. I've heard about leaking Marquee tubes far too often... A Barco 9" tube won't leak, I've never heard about a Barco 9" tube with Scheimpflug adjustment to leak. Even Reinier said that a Barco tube won't leak. But maybe Curt has other experiences

I'll wait until the seller of the Vision one is back in town (2nd half of this week) before I decide what to do with the chassis and the good parts.
My trust in Marquees is below zero at the moment, but I think a HV leak can happen with all brands.
Fortunately my 1292 doesn't let me done so far, also my earlier 1251, 1252 and 1272 are still very trustworthy.
Maybe I stay with Sony if someone donates me a Gxx

Marquees are very very reliables, there are hundreds if not thousands being used now and we only know of the ones here in the home theater world. I still say it was human error, Who ever put that tube in some how put a small hairline crack in the neck and it finaly broke in a catostrophic way. maybe it was accidentaly droped but looked ok to the installer, or it was tightend too much and the heat causing the glass to expand a bit more than the metal and it broke. there could be many ways it happened.

Discussing Marquees in general is not what I'm looking for, if you have a very bad experience the first time it doesn't matter what brand it is
It's good to see that many others like Marquees and have no or only a few problems.

Well i hope the seller will help you out, make sure you show him the blue tube, i think that was the start of it since it worked fine for a while.

The seller pays me back a fair amount of the sellingprice
Next is thinking about what to do with the usefull parts.
This is/was a complete Vision one with a 9500LC chassis.

I think the lvps (sold by Curt) and the hvps are ok.
There are 2 remote sensors and one with mounting stuff, the red Vision one housing parts, a wired remote with Vidikron mark on it and also an IR remote with Vidikron mark on it.
The acon (and cable) has never been used.
Tube housings are ok and the c-elements (one is green) too.
If someone thinks that I missed some possible good other parts, let me know

I have HD300 lenses with it and I use HD10-L's on my Sony 1292.
My screen size is a bit to wide (220cm) for HD10-L's but I must say that the 1292 shows a pretty sharp picture overall.
Maybe this is because the distance to the screen is only 285cm to get a full wide picture on the screen.
The subtitles are very sharp and I don't see problems in the corners.
The Vision one was placed about 350cm from the screen to get a good picture with the HD10-L's.

I can go 2 ways, selling the above parts and never look for a Marquee again or wait for a nice 9500LC(u) and begin all over again.
The last choise means that the total costs for a good 9-incher will rise a lot.
Maybe it's better to stay with my 1292 in stead of selling it.

use your 1292 till you find a nice 9500LC and you'll have at least some spare parts for it. Bellows, c elemnt power supplies.
