I am soon going to need new tubes or if the price is right I might use my PFD( that free money Alaska residents get just for living here) to upgrade my 8500 to a 9500 or just upgrade to a newer better projector .The thing is I love my Marquee and it has never let me down. I know I have a rock solid machine here, and the idea of upgrading and getting problems with the new machine or me trying to upgrade anything on my perfect Marquee and making it a 200 lb paperweight rather bothers me.The most I have done was set it up, learn to calibrate and tweek, and added a Moome card. Anything that requires more than that terrifies me ( Love the sport just not to good at it). So Here is where I am ,are there any calibration specialist that will do upgrades while onsite ? Do to my extreme distance from anyone and anywhere, and shipping being a complete joke when talking about anything bigger than a breadbox and over the weight of a CD, Are there any of you guys planning a trip to Alaska in the next year?( I am a very patient man so timing is of no importance). I would love to see what a pro calibrated machine would look like but I couldn't even guess what it would cost to get this done.Look up the ticket prices up here and you will see what I mean . What to do ? Any takers ? Anyone out there that really wants to see Alaska ? I will even offer a free place to stay while here. You don't have to be a pro, you just have to be better than me with electronics, which means most of you qualify.

Flying is a necessity unless you really really love to drive.

buy me a guided fishing trip and I'll install those tubes for you for free Laughing
I think swapping out your tubes for the set chris has listed in within your ability really, it just depends whether you have a whole saturday to do it. i can cetainly walk you through it if you like. also, you might want to re-cap those neck-boards while your at it for increased pefromance and reliability.

I just thought I would give this another shot. Is there anyone planning a trip to Alaska? Taking a cruise perhaps?
If so I would be willing to give you a decent place to stay for a couple of days, and all the halibut you can eat.I can even take you on a motorcycle sightseeing tour complete with a trip to the firing range to shoot a 375 H&H Sako with a lot of other guns as well.Lets see what else, I would even take you on a halibut charter for a day and show you a what a big fish looks like. All offers would be considered. Anything you might like to do in Alaska? Airline prices might not be so low for a long time.

you know if I was to make a list of top 10 things to do Halibut fishing would be on the list, no doubt. however i'm not sure it's worth all this just for a calibration. I mean I could do magnetics and focus etc. but it wouldn't be an eye popping difference.
Now if you had a set of new tubes OR possibly decided to upgrade the electronics, then probably the overall improvement would be something we could both be satisfied with as a worthwhile accomplishment. Take a look at this and see how it fits in your comfort zone.

shipping for the wholes set of boards is about $120. round trip but I know the difference you would see in pic quality would be significant. If you like, we could talk about me re-installing the boards, doing the full set-up, and then go fishin. Mr. Green
