Does anyone have a suggestion for a hoist/lift to easily get a Marquee 8500 down from a 7 foot (from the floor) mount?

Just save the beer until after the projector is mounted. Of course, with the right amount of beer, you'll only need 10 minutes for the perfect setup.

Mmmmmm, beer......

I bought an electric hoist off ebay for less than $100 delivered that can lift 880lbs.

Overkill for our app but money well spent over renting. If you have room in your attic I highly recommend it!!

I bought my Genie lift off ebay for $125. I've used it to lift projectors up/down without any other help at all about a dozen times, I figure that easily covers the cost of purchase. I've found one for sale on Kijiji too...
