How can I use an external test pattern to adjust inputs individually on a G70?

Run your test pattern CD/DVD on your source then push the PJ "Pattern" button until your source image appears.
Use the RGB cut to turn off each tube individually.

How long do I need to hold it down, I cannot seem to get it to appear?

You need to be in a registration control first...ie center...then press "pattern", each button press will bring up a different pattern...the last will be the actual video image. Each registration control has a different set of patterns...don't press&hold, just press to cycle thru them Mike.

Right - it's not at all like the old 12xx's. Just tap the button, and it will cycle through the patterns. The last two are a pattern genlocked to the external signal, and finally just the external signal. RTFM, Mike!
Just kidding.

I have checked the manual, User and Installer but I cannot find a mention, I'm probably manual blind with all the reading I have been doing lately.
PS I hope you are not affected with the floods Steve I hope your HT is not in the basement
