Hey guys, i'm soon gonna hook my ps3 up to my monitor with HDFury, and that turns the digital HD signal into an analog one so i need to hook up my audio some other way. What do you guys think? Bluetooth headphones won't give me in-game volume and neither will USB headphones.

I want to hook it up to my TDK system

Heres a pic of the connections on the back of my Sub/w 2 speakers which is currently hooked up to my PC

http://www.dansdata.com/images/s150/conns440.jpg

And i can't simply hook up the ps3 to the monitors speakers because the monitor only has an audio in, and the ps3 only has an optical out , and my monitor and sound system don't have an optical out.

I know i can get some sort of digital to analog audio converter but i've already spent allot on the monitor+HDFury so i want something affordable. whats the solution? any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

it's also come to my attention that i can still use the AV Multi cables that came with the ps3 and set them up for audio whilst the HDFury can handle the video BUT like i said before i need some sort of adapter to hook up my AV cable to the sub (click link in previous post for a pic).

This is pretty jerry rigged, but I think you might be able to use something like an RCA to 3.5mm adapter to plug the a/v into the line in port on the sub.

I don't think you will like this option, but might be worth a try.

Honestly, I think you should spend $100 and get a cheap receiver to handle all of this.

Hmm... I'm having trouble visualizing where and why you're using a 2F RCA-to-1M RCA cable. When you say you're hooking the audio to the TDK's "subwoofer", you mean you're hooking it up to that set of audio speakers (including the subwoofer), and that you're using the volume control on the TDK speaker to control the system volume, right? And, you're using a Sony A/V cable with red/white male RCA's, right?

Yes it's a TDK Tremor set (2 speakers, 1 sub) the speakers are connected to the sub and the volume/treble/bass are controlled with right speaker. The connections on the sub are very limited with inputs for both speakers and only one jack to connect to a device, in order for me to get the ps3 connected to it i required the splitter PS3 AVMULTI-audio red/white>2RCA-F to 1 RCA M> Sub so under the ps3 settings i've set the audio to AV Multi and the video to HDMI rather then both HDMI because to my knowledge the HDFury Gamers edition will give me video but not audio.... right?
