Does anybody know of a way to increase the horizontal size on a 1292?????

On my old 1252 there was an adjustment inside the projector that increased the size of the raster area, does the 1292 have anything like this.

I have maxed out the projectors size control and I still cant get my image big enough on the tube face Sad

Thanks in advance

Nathan

I don't think that the 1292 has any way of increasing the size of the picture within the raster. What are you using for an input source ? If it is a HTPC then you can use Powerstrip to set the horizontal porches to get the correct width

I'm in the middle of setting up my 1292 for the first time so I'm no expert but you could you try 'RGB size'?

Sorry if that doesn't help but it is the only thing I can think of!

Yes it is a HTPC as a source but every time I install powerstrip it crashes my computer so am trying to avoid it for now Sad

Yes I have maxed out the RGB size control.

I have used the small amount of adjustment within the CCC to make the pic as big as possible and that seems to be not to bad, so will just live with it that way for the time being Sad

Thanks for your advice

I bet you are in a PAL country.

1080i 50HZ is a real problem for the 1292.

50hz HD sources have an absolutely ridiculous front and back porch size. So much so that many CRT projctors just havent got enough width amplification to fill the raster.

I couldnt fix a HDTV setop box I had and had to sell it. One box I owned actually had 1125i as well as 1080i and fixed the problem.

Bite the bullet and make power strip work.
