|
|
Thank you all for your help. I have an HDMI Fury (green option) connected to my Barco 808. I am able to send low resolution images to my Barco without any issues. Once I try to send a higher resolution image to the projector, the screen goes blank. I believe that my older Barco has a reversed Sync that isn't supported on newer sources. I also think that the RTC-2200 would fix this problem but I am looking for a more cost effective solution. So, my two questions are:
Is my troubleshooting correct?
Are there cheap devices that only take care of the Sync issue?
Thanks again for the help.

I'm just learning the Barco, I had the same problem with my 1208. I made a port 3 cable by removing the BNC connectors from a break-out cable and soldering on a DB-9 connector. I used a crimp type DB-9 connector to ensure I had the pin-out correct before changing to the soldered type.
Anyway, port 3 has positive and negative synch. It fixed my problem, but it does not do 108op. I am very happy with the 1080i image.
Peace,
Joel

Best option is to buy the RED cable, to connect the HDfury to port 3.
You can make your own cable, but remember that the HDfury has the same connector as a VGA cable so when you alter an existing VGA cable to make a port3 adapter for your HDfury, besides the D-9 connector you also need to change the VGA connector. Just get the RED cable, and you're done.

Thank you all for your response. My only problem is that I don't have a Port 3 card in my machine. I have the DB9 connector on the back - but no port 3 card inside. Would it be cheaper to buy a Port 3 board instead of a device that could switch the polarity? Does Curt Palme offer this board for sale? Is the polarity switch for the port 3 board automatic or is it a menu driven? Again, thank you all for your support.
