the 72" Retro IV was intended to accomodate everything from ECP to M95LC...
"the Retro IV is configurable with virtually all Electrohome projector models. This range of projectors includes the ECP 3500 and 4500 series as well as the Marquee 8110, 8500, and 9500LC projectors. "

Heh, so the question is - is it an ECP 3500, or a 9500LC?

Does the $33,238 acquisition cost give any indication of what projector it was built with? I'd guess that price is too high to be an ECP and too low to be a 9500LC. I'm not a Marquee guy, but I'd guess either a 8110 or an 8500.

Nashou! Stop trying to claim every damn screen that comes up! I need that!
I was actually supposed to get the screen from the Retro IV that you have now were it not for the silliness that the original buyer suffered before you picked it up.

Yeah the screen I have is shot. There is one on ebay for 99 bucks in GA, I was actually going to ask Clarence to go look at it and if was good pay him to take the screen out and ship it. Not sure if I really wanmt to go through all that though or if he'd do it,

Yep... those Guv Lickers scratched the crap out of mine too. With a forklift!
That's a Retro III, not a IV, but does have the "black matrix" screen. Put a tape on yours to make sure its' appropriately sized before you (or Clarence) commit to it.

I don't buy projectors any more. My G90 finally cured my fever years ago.

I'm hoping my 9501LC will do the same!
The carcass of the Retro that the 9501 came out of is going to house one of the smaller "extra" PJs I've got and be the "big TV" for deck and pool parties at my neighbors... He's actually tearing down his poolhouse and building a new, insulated house 16'x16' (think outdoor "mantown") with a removable slider or some such so the set can be turned around and face the deck/pool in the summer.
I'll probably troll the local CL "free" lists looking for a large broken RP set to salvage the screen from. Pity... the E'Home "black matrix" appears to be a very high quality RP screen.

I thought Bruce gave you a couple of chances to get that pj.

It started with an agreement that he and I would conspire to get the screen to me if it was in better shape then the forklift-damaged screen I've got (I even had a co-worker lined up to pick up the screen when he went on a family trip to PA.) This devolved into an offer to take the whole thing when Bruces' Detroit trip fell apart.
I could afford neither the whole PJ nor the 24 hour road trip to get another one, altho it would have been nice to have a test and parts chassis, especially given the Green tube trouble I have had with mine.
All water under the dog.

Looks like I won't be able to check this out after all. I've got a board meeting tonight and cannot get away.
Besides, I haven't got two nickles to rub together anyway. The description has been updated to include that it has a Marquee 8500LC
