When I run my Barco BG808s with component input, I found that the Apple TV through my matrix switcher requires Tri-level sync.
At least, that's how it appears to be as only input 8 gives me the right image.
From what I read, this means there is a tri-level sync card installed. Perhaps I misread it, but it was also referred to as an HDTV card. The Barco is a late model BG 808s w Iris3 (firmware 7.61)

So I have 2 questions:
1. How can I confirm that the card is there (location, part no...)
2. Is there a benefit with tri-level sync (stability, picture quality) or is it simply to enable compatibility with input sources? The name HDTV card was intriguing Wink

Just trying to learn more as there appears to be little information out there other than that it exists.

Since I am waiting for my RTC2200 to arrive, I am not planning to use any component video into the pj. though.

Btw. as I was mentioning Iris3 earlier, I found this thing is completely worthless for any setup. If anything I found that the touchup feature only destroyed decent settings.

1 The HDTV board, if present, is mounted as a small doughterboard on the V-Defl board.
2 HDTV over component to your Barco is ONLY possible with the HDTV board.

If you have input 8, you probably have it already. Post a picure of your V-Delf board and we know for sure.

Yep, what r.bauer said. You have the board. But, the RTC2200 does component MUCH better than the board in your PJ.

Great to hear Very Happy Can't wait for the RTC unit.

I quickly plugged in the component into the pj. and took a quick snapshot. This is what the input text said (please excuse the terrible picture quality Embarassed Never actually configured the input yet, so this is no convergence, aspect, etc.)
