i have a sony 1272q projector and the tubes have 9400 hours on them.i am looking to change them out in the near future but dont feel to comfortable doing it myself.is there anyone out there in the new england area near or in massachusetts that can help out.dont want to hire a professional company as they charge an arm and a leg.will pay fair fee for your trouble.or maybe you might know a company that can do the job for a decent price.thanks!

With the 1272, you are probably better off finding another one with lower hours, then retubeing the one you have.

Unless he can source some new tubes. That would be the ultimate in low hours.

I re-tubed my 1271 and it was fun.

New tubes are the best.

Anyway,... I'm in New England. I retubed my 1271. I changed tubes in a Marquee 8500. I bought and installed new tubes in my G70. So,.. I can help. Retubing a 12xx isn't very difficult actually.
