Hello
Put up a picture of all three grids but with convergence zeroed out so we can have a look.

Sorry for not being back to you guys sooner, been busy.
I've solved the geometry problem. I thought I'd give the deflection yoke a try.
My greatest fear was to damage something trying to get the glue off the yoke and tube.
It turned out that that wasn't a problem, because the glue didn't stick to the tube anymore? So that was what caused the problem from the start, that the yoke had shifted around when I was mounting the PJ on the ceiling.
But I still need your advise. I set the PJ up and did all geometry and convergence and that looked fine, but when I saw the image (1080p 60Hz from HTPC) I was very disappointed. The image lacks the sharpness and punch I had on my Barco G808s. For example the subtitles looks not real white and a little unsharp. I have of course checked the lens sharpness, and sheimpflug, ant it looks fine.
Can that have something to do with the dot shape? Should I try the flare yoke? Or could it be the G2 on the tubes?
About electronic focus, then the green is fine on 50, but red has to come down to 32, and blue 23 before they turn sharp, are that normal?
I'll be back with more questions later
Thanks, Morten.

Did a "Bill Blue" and a quick color calibration with my Eye-One, so now it's much, much better.
But there's still one thing annoying me alot, and that is I have distinct vertical lines running down on the left side of the picture. They're very visible in bright scenes. Is that hardware, or is because of the high scan rates 1080p 60/72 Hz?

How does one hot glue a deflection yoke on the ceiling?

Just added some extra glue to the old one, that melted a little too.

Can any of you tell me what those lines on the left side of the image are? They appear on all three tubes.

That's Raster Ringing. The image is too far to the left in the Raster (Raster is too far right really), or the Raster is too wide (pj too far forward), or the retrace is set to long instead of short (I think that the setting on a Marquee), or there's some adjustment on the HDM (dunno just guessing here).
What's with all the weeping bellows and hot glue? Sounds a bit back-yard-ey. Next thing you'll have fungus, cooked cathodes, and need to reseat all your chips.
Maybe they should have made them right in the first place I'm sorry, I couldn't resist! I would like a 9500LC, really, I would.

Try moving the whole raster more to the left on the tube face and then use phase to center the image. Some calibrators use this trick to eliminate that. I think it can be caused by using the H size too much. You may have to then physically move the PJ to get the image on the screen centered, that is turn the PJ left or right to center the image but then you will need to do geometry again. thats why its best to have it on the floor first and get it all going right for a few weeks before mounting. i bet the raster was off center
when it was on the floor and then when you put ti up on the cieling you need to shift the image the other direction to get it back onto the screen. then you got the ringing.
I know, i did the same thing. After i pulled the my entife pulley mount off the ceiling, I turned the PJ upside down on a table and centered it there this time the center of the green tube was dead center with the screen, i thne did the set up with it upside down, i had to leave the front of the edge a bit to get to the bolts and it was propped up a bit too. but it took a lot of time but i was able to get rid of the ringing.

You're just envious that you don't have the same level of trouble, as we Marquee guys does. That is was bind us together, "May the force(-field from an Electrohome) be with us!"
The only physical option I really have with the PJ, is to pull it a little backwards. Athansios, I have moved the raster, and centered the image with phase, the problem was much worse before I did that.

HTPC - Marquee VIM(not 1.3 HDMI) , 1080p 72 Hz.

Please post your timings.
You may need to add more porch pixels, and push the ringing out of the visible area, into the porches.
What is happening is the beam is oscillating after retrace - it's speeding up and slowing down slightly, which leads to the light and dark bands.
If you reduce the width by ~10%, does it disappear?
My XG does this a bit too, because I have pushed the width a bit too much. I need to pull the projector back or add lots more porch pixels if I really want to fix it.
