Hi,
Does the combination exist ?
Does anybody has this combination?
Some people tell me there was never made a Red c element for HD117-24 lens.
Green C-element should exist ?
Let me know

Googling a little and looking at a couple of AVS threads, it sounds like HD-117 is interchangeable with HD10... Your typical 9" LC, yes? If so, then wouldn't the same green and red C elements for 9500LC's and G90's work?
What projector are these on?

HD117-24 is for 8"
It is for a BD808S with P16LNP tubes and 120Mhz necks

I bought 2 Retro 3600s.
One came with the HD117-12 lenses which are for small screens and the other one had HD117-24 lenses on it which are capable of focusing on large screens. I actually had them focused on my 120" wide screen and the were very clear. Both of them did have clear C-elements on them.

From the best info I have, Ampro made (3) 8" LC devices. 3600 Retro, 3600 Widescreen retro and the 3600 module. The retro should come with the HD117-12 lenses, the widescreen I'm not 100% sure but should also be the 12's because of the short throw. The screen was 54" wide. The 3600 module was a complete assy for rear projection without any cabinent. Used for simulator's, room displays or whatever need for rear projection. These came with either the HD117-12 or HD117-24 depending on the application required. If your retro was non widescreen and had the 24's, maybe someone replaced them or the unit had a module replacement with the 24's. I can only guess.
Now the issue with the 12's being able to focus at larger then specified screen sizes. The specs that manufacturer's use are the range the lenses are designed to work within. It doesnt mean that they wont focus outside that range, but when used outside that range they may produce an anomaly. For example, if you remove the lens and put up a cross hatch pattern and adjust for a nice straight alignment, then put the lens on, the pic on the screen may have distortion around the outer perimeter, such as the lines may curve. Now you may be able to correct this with your alignment settings but now you are distorting the actual image on the tube. This could then cause strain on your electronics and cause premature failure.
This is why specs are givin the way they are.

I will correct myself. The 2 that I had were modules for rear projection. I still have the frame work for them.

No. The 24 was much farther from the screen than the 12s. They work the same as any other lens. The farther you move it back the larger the image. The 12 would not even begin to come into focus at 120".
