sony vph50 and toshiba hd EP-10 on signal on HDMI

hallo i have a sony vph50 and ext-hd PJI
i have the input select to RGB
with the sat equipment i have signal: input ext hd swicht to component
but with input select to hdmi and dvd player toshiba hd ep10 i get no signal
know somebody anything about this problem
