Oh Lord, if only I had that basement to work with. Mine is divided down the center with support posts under the center beam. Makes for a very narrow theater area. I just couldn't spend the funds to finish the basement so I tacked up dark blue cloth all the way around the perimeter of the theater area, threw down three recliners and a rocker and a chunk of carpet, built a riser for the back row and away we go.

I'm pretty proud of the screen I built, but dangit, I wish I could do it up right. I've got the old sony still hung from the ceiling and the Marquee sitting on a perch I built for it on the floor. There's no way I'd have the headroom for the marquee with such low ceilings, but when it's dark and the movie starts we forget what a holy mess we have around us, except for when my husband starts the washing machine right before a movie. Smile
