When you say RGB do you mean 5 wire or 3 wire. You need to be specific.

I dont think your sat box and dvd player are hooked to the switcher with 5 wire. Most likely component (3 wire RGB), S-Video or composite. Im assumeing you tried both sources to diagnosis your problem meaning you lost the blue with both DVD and Sat. If you haven't verified that, then you need to. Also you need to check your BNC connectors for loose wires in the connectors.

After verifying all this, what I would do next is swap the blue and red BNC connector at the projector. The picture will look messed up but what you what to see is if the blue still goes out or if the red now goes out. Give it a try.

I double checked, The Dish box Has a cable with 5 connectors that's connected to the switcher, and so does the dvd player. Dvd player is on slot 3 of the switcher. I could take pictures if you don't believe me

And the blue tube doesn't lite up when the switcher is on.

I turn it off & press the rgb key on the control, then the blue tube lites up.

I checked all the connectors to.

With the satellite box playing I switch the red & blue cables around.
Same results, The blue tube would not lite up.

When I turned the switcher off again, and pressed the rgb key, the blue tube lit up again.

It's not that Mac doesn't belive you. He just want's to make sure you have it all hooked up properly and possibly that you aren't confusing componnet with RGBHV.

I think your switching audio also. The other 2 wires are probably audio wires. Did you try switching the red and blue BNC connector at the projector?

Oh I didn't mean it like that! I know he's trying to be sure everything is right.

The dvd player is a Momitso

The dish box is a HD 5000

I'm not touching any audio cables

There's a cheap one that Canadian Tire sell's. Usualy have to exchange it a few tomes to get a working one but it'll do 480P for cheap and has built in volume control. I use one on vacation all the time.

Ok. If what you have is DVI to RGBHV then you should be able to disconnect the dvd player from the switcher and connect it directly to the projector. If problem is gone then its the switcher or cables from switcher to projector. If you still have a problem then its probably in the projector. It maybe in the video input card in the projector. You could probably change that card with one of the cards in the switcher.

Sorry but I'm leaving first thing in the morning on a 4 day fishing trip so this will be my last post till tues. If you still cant find it, maybe someone else here can help you out. Good luck. Smile

Oh, and it really helps if you learn and know the terminology of your devices and cables. We could of had your dvd hooked up to your projector 4 hours ago and possibly fixed by now. Just for future reference and also others here. Thumbs Up
