The fridge was painted black to match the rest of the decor (special appliance primer had to be used).

Imagine someone opens the fridge door part way through the movie to get a drink, haha. "Shut the bloody door, you're letting the light in!"

It's actually true! If you open the fridge door it lets a lot of light right on to the screen. That's one good reason to have beer taps. They don't emit any light. ;)
