Yes, it's CRT related.

Give me a couple of hours, the VHS tape is playing into my PC now. Smile

THe stats are interesting. THe video was put out Jan 7 1992, and from 1982 to 1992 they've made 60,000 sets? Holy crap, how many did E'home put out if that's the case?

Well with this kind of reaction, I'll stop production on my 2 hour video of how to do board level repairs on Barcos and Marquees.

Lead underwear!

I have some and its awesome! I've not had a hint of radiation poisoning since buying them off EBay. Can be awkward going to the toilet but just keep a can opener in your pocket. Added bonus of protecting you from muggers, although I once got attacked and had the devil of a job getting away from the that vicious wheelchair-bound grandma that chased me along the road but I managed to shake her after an hour or so but it was a struggle going up that hill I tell ya!

All you have to do is STOP! - unplug it and call authorized Esprit service technician to get it going again!

OK, have fun with it. At least AmPro provided a installation video.
Show me one from NEC, Sony, Barco or E-home Wink
Much of the info so far is generic to all CRT projectors and would be of great help to first time CRT users of any brand. Everyone should know how the factory wants you to install their projector before you take it upon yourself to do it your way. Post the whole thing Thumbs Up

That would probably increase the number of board level repairs you would do...
(Just think of all those you'll see, mangled using a 250 Watt soldering gun to remove all the parts..., or acid core solder to put them back Sad )

How about a video or two on how to safely/properly remove boards from the various projectors so they can send them to you for repair. Thumbs Up

Riiight, and I just love to get butchered boards in the door, then have people whine that repairs are so expensive. Smile

Nah, things are good just the way they are. People here are generally pretty good at sending stuff in beyond their capability to repair, unlike back in the days of when I worked at a TV repair shop. Now, there, we saw some real 'handy' work...

Hahahaha. That reminds me of a 32 crt tv I got last year. Someone sawed a hole in the back to change the fuse on the P/S board. Fuse just blew again so they gave up, well more like they didnt have a clue...... Laughing
