UPDATE: Chris Smith has sent me a link to his hosting location:
http://www.oynag.com/chris/graphics.html#frp
For those of you who have not played with this, it is a great piece of software that was posted on another forum. The original links are dead but I have a copy and have contacted the Author to see if we can post it here.
FRP allows you to model your HT room with the speaker and listening positions so that you can assess reflection points and take steps to improve your acoustics.
I am not sure if it is posted anywhere else but if I find a link I will just post that....

Yeah, that's the author's thread, but he's MIA it seems. The links to the software are broken and he hasn't checked into the thread in months.
The app is actually called "FRV", and it's really useful. Here's an old rendering I did when I was planning my room. I built the whole room with Google Sketchup, and then applied the FRV rendering of the right wall's raytrace to see where to strategically place the absorption panels:

I don't feel comfortable posting a link in an open forum without the author's permission, but I'll PM you.

Stereophiles Guide to Home theater web site use to have a spread sheet that did the same thing, I had it somewhere but cant seem to find it. when I was building my home theater i had the luxury of a blank canvas and punched in numbers for the perfect room dimensions to totally minimize dead sound areas and allt he high points and low points for each frequency. it had calculations for seat placement/ sitting position for all axis x,y,and z. It was a really cool program. punch in your dimensions and it would show you were your trouble spots were at all axis . This was back in 2000. maybe they still have it archived.
Here is a link to the article and spread sheet originaly posted in april of 1999 by David Henderson

I will also upload it to my marquee stuff site and re post it here.
